NEXUS Interview Booking Timeline Changing in 2027

Travellers interested in the NEXUS trusted traveller program should be aware of an upcoming change to interview booking timelines. Beginning April 1, 2027, conditionally approved applicants will have two years to schedule and complete their NEXUS interview, compared to the current five-year window. Applicants who receive conditional approval before April 1, 2027, will retain the existing timeline and must schedule their interview within five years of approval or by April 1, 2029, whichever comes first. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encourage applicants to book their interviews as soon as possible. NEXUS interviews are completed at designated enrolment centres, including locations at the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit and the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.
